Bring to mind any thoughts of resistance to exercise you may be feeling and tap along with me.

Setup Tapping

Even though I know I should exercise regularly but I feel so resistant to doing it when the time comes, I deeply and completely love and accept myself. (3 times)

Tapping Rounds

  1. I don't enjoy exercise.
  2. It tires me out.
  3. It feels like a chore.
  4. It feels like punishment.
  5. My body hurts from exercise.
  6. I don't want to do it.
  7. It takes up time.
  8. I feel ashamed for resisting it.
  9. I feel guilty for skipping it.
  10. Exercise brings out all my aches and pains.
  11. No pain, no gain.
  12. But I don't want to exercise!
  13. Can I live?
  14. I have a weak resolve.
  15. I can't bring myself to exercise.
  16. I can't keep up with it.
  17. I don't have enough stamina.
  18. Exercise hasn't helped much anyway.
  19. To lose this weight, I'll have to exercise a lot.
  20. One craving, one misstep sets me back.
  21. There goes one hour of running!
  22. This is so frustrating.
  23. I am tired of this back and forth.
  24. My weight prevents me from exercising harder.
  25. I understand exercise is good for me.
  26. I wish it didn't feel like punishment for my weight.
  27. Exercise is my way of taking care of myself.
  28. I can do this for my health.
  29. I can choose how much I exercise.
  30. I don't have to kill myself with it.
  31. I choose to be kind to myself.
  32. I choose to listen to my body.
  33. I choose to release this dread.
  34. No one's breathing down my neck.
  35. I am my own person.
  36. I'm taking the first step today.
  37. It will turn into a run.
  38. When my body supports it.
  39. My body supports me.
  40. I choose to support my body, too.
