How to use EFT to prepare yourself to face a difficult day

As priceless as each day of your life is, is there a day you’re not looking forward to? Is it the day when you have to face a job interview, attend a court hearing, move house, or in general get out of your comfort zone in a way that you are not comfortable with?

It could be a party you have to attend when you actually feel awkward in social situations. It could be a difficult exam you’re dreading. It could even be a regular day that just seems difficult to wade through.

The calendar is earmarked, but as days pass, leading up to that dreaded day, you find yourself feeling uneasy. You want to strike out that day and skip over to the next. How about we try some EFT tapping to release this resistance and loathing?

The goal of this tapping script is to help you feel calm and confident during the days or months leading up to that dreaded day, so that you can prepare yourself better to face the challenges of that upcoming day.

Even though every part of me is dreading facing that day, I really want to feel relaxed and carefree even if it sounds impossible in this situation.

Even though I hate the idea of putting myself through situations that take me way out of my comfort zone, there is something more, something deeper about this day that I’m loathing. I want to address the root of my unease and pull myself together.

Even though it makes me worried to even think of what horrible things I will have to face that day, I’m open to being well prepared to deal with whatever fate throws my way that day.

EFT tapping round 1

Eyebrow    I don’t want to face that day.

Side of the eye    I’m just not up to it.

Under the eye    I’m dreading that day.

Under the nose    I want to skip over it.

Chin    I’ve been feeling trapped all these days

Collar bone    leading up to that day.

Under the arm    I’m just not feeling good

Top of the head    about the idea of being in that situation,

Eyebrow    at that place, with those people.

Side of the eye    Maybe I should be feeling all geared up

Under the eye    and focused about that day,

Under the nose    but the truth is, I’m not.

Chin    Even if nothing bad is going to happen,

Collar bone    I just don’t like feeling this way

Under the arm    the way I’m feeling now.

Top of the head    I’m feeling all this resistance.

Eyebrow    That day isn’t going to be fun at all.

Side of the eye    It feels like a punishment.

Under the eye    Why do I even need to face that day?

Under the nose    I could instead be doing something else

Chin    that I actually like.

Collar bone    It feels unfair to have to commit

Under the arm    one precious day to something I abhor.

Top of the head    This unease washes over me

Eyebrow    every time I think of facing that day.

Side of the eye    Can I just sign out of it?

Under the eye    But backtracking is not always a good idea.

Under the nose    Sometimes good things come to me

Chin    when I’m willing to cross a few hurdles.

Collar bone    And what if it is only the idea

Under the arm    of facing that day that I’m dreading?

Top of the head    What if I find myself doing pretty okay

Eyebrow    on the day in question?

Side of the eye    Maybe I’m not that weak

Under the eye    to not survive that one difficult day.

Under the nose    Maybe I don’t HAVE to like everything

Chin    that goes on that day.

Collar bone    And if I stick to my conviction,

Under the arm    I’ll get through it feeling just fine.

Top of the head    At least I can be proud of myself

EFT tapping round 6

Eyebrow    for aptly handling a difficult day.

Side of the eye    Maybe I can reward myself later

Under the eye    for surviving that day.

Under the nose    Maybe I can channel these feelings

Chin    of anxiety towards preparing myself,

Collar bone    so I put my best foot forward that day.

Under the arm    The better I feel now,

Top of the head    the better I will feel that day.

Eyebrow    I don’t need to be perfect.

Side of the eye    Being well prepared is enough.

Under the eye    I choose to do whatever I can,

Under the nose    to help myself face that day boldly.

Chin    I’m letting all this resistance to melt away.

Collar bone    I’m allowing myself to go with the flow.

Under the arm    And make the most of what that day has to offer.

Top of the head    From now, I’m choosing to be at peace.

After tapping through this script, you may feel lighter and less worried about facing that challenging day.     How come i cannot print the scripts anymore

      Carmel, I was using a plugin to enable printing of the blog posts. But that plugin was slowing down the site so it had to be removed. I’m searching for alternatives. The print function will be back soon. :)
