When you are tapping on the EFT tapping points, you are reaching your meridian end points and clearing out energy blockages from those meridians.
One such meridian is the Triple Warmer meridian that governs our fight or flight response. The act of tapping the meridian end points close to the skin surface calms the body.
As you tap, your fight or flight response is pacified and your stress levels are reduced, so you are no longer in a hyper-alert state. This relaxation, especially in those who are new to tapping, may induce sleepiness. You may also experience yawning at intervals even when you are not tapping, as the energy continues to move around and rebalance itself.
As you continue to use EFT tapping, over time your body gets used to the new energetic patterns and you no longer feel sleepy or tired after tapping. If you are prone to sleepiness, it may not be advisable to operate machinery or drive a vehicle during or right after tapping.
